Liturgical Calendar

Along the liturgical seasons, the Lord speaks to his people. The files below provide information on daily celebrations and readings at mass, which are taken from the liturgical Calendar (Ordo).

Normally, by this time of the year the Ordo is already in the hands of those who use it. This year however, its production was delayed by the printing of the Roman Missal. Since the Ordo 2011-2012 – Liturgical Calendar with Guidelines for Pastoral Liturgy must make reference to page numbers in the Roman Missal, we had to await the definitive layout of the Missal, a task that was not completed until early in the summer. Only then could we proceed with the final draft of the Ordo putting us several months behind the normal schedule.

The Ordo is currently being printed and will be ready for shipment this month of November. However, we are aware that many parishes would already be referring to the Ordo to assist in the process of advance planning for the liturgical life of the parish. Therefore the National Liturgy Office has decided to put the Advent section of the Ordo online to assist in this planning.
