Staff Profiles
Director
Rev. Bill Burke is a priest of the Diocese of Antigonish. He was ordained in 1977, after studies at St. Paul’s University in Ottawa, and served as parish priest for more than thirty years. He has an M.A. in Liturgical Studies from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. For the last 25 years he has conducted liturgical workshops, parish missions and retreats throughout Canada.
In September of 2004, he was appointed the director of the Office of Worship for the diocese of Antigonish. He is on the editorial consulting board for the periodical Celebrate! and has published articles in Celebrate!, the National Bulletin on Liturgy, the Atlantic Catholic, Envision and Today’s Parish Minister. In January of 2007, he was appointed the Director of the National Liturgy Office for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the North American Forum on the Catechumenate, and he teaches at the Summer Institute in Pastoral Liturgy at St. Paul’s University in Ottawa.
